What are the differences between the first aid courses you offer?

 Child Care First Aid

 Standard First Aid

 Emergency First Aid

This course is designed for care givers in a child care setting. It is a great course for parents and is a requirement for all day-care and day-home staff.  This course meets the requirements of Alberta Children’s and Family Services.  We offer CPR level C with this course.  This is typically a two day course (16-18 hours in length) that teaches prevention, recognition and first aid for a variety of medical emergencies.  We offer this course with CPR level C. This one day (6.5 to 8 hours in length) course teaches individuals to think, react and improvise in emergency situations.  We typically offer this course with CPR level C.

How long is the certification good for? 

The maximum length of time between updates is 3 years but we recommend recertification on a yearly basis.

 

Where are the courses held? 

Most of our courses are held in Edmonton, Alberta. We have certain scheduled first aid courses providing for organizations in Edmonton that occasionally have openings for additional students. Additionally, other courses are held at the customer's actual location of business. Also, arrangements can be made for courses for a sufficient number of students throughout the rest of Alberta with our instructors travelling to your location. Please contact us for more specific details.

 

I've lost my wallet or wall certificate, how can I get a new one? 

If you need either of your certificates replaced, please contact us to make arrangements to receive a replacement. There is a $30 fee for replacement certificates for any of our programs.

 

I'm applying for a position with the Edmonton Police Service and was told you need to sign a form for me. How do I arrange that? 

Please bring the form to your class and we will sign it for you upon completion of the course. If you have already completed the course, please fax the form in question to 780-479-6916, along with a coversheet including your name, contact information, and the fax number we can return the completed form to.
